金斯顿大学的教学环境和设备在英国基金委员会的有关评估中均属优异。学校现有学生大约16000名，其中约1500多名学生分别来自90多个国家，而本国的学生多来自伦敦和周边地区。
金斯顿大学共设有7个系，分别是商学系、设计系、人文科学系、自然科学系、计算机数学系、工程技术系和健康科学系。学校坐落在泰晤士河畔的金斯顿大学镇，位于伦敦西南部的河畔，离伦敦市中心仅需25分钟车程，距离盖特威克机场和希思罗国际机场约一个小时车程。金斯顿大学附近有许多古老建筑，例如亨利八世华丽的宅邸汉普顿皇宫。
