大家都知道澳大利亚护理专业可以移民。可是提到助产，就鲜有学生选择。在我从事留学咨询工作五年多来，除了今年年初接到的一个学生（现已成功获得澳洲大学录取和签证）咨询外，还真没有其他学生或者家长咨询过这个课程。

　　在写这篇文章之前，查了些资料，发现没有多少前辈写过这个课程。今年刚刚又做了第一个吃螃蟹的，收集了一些信息，跟大家分享一下。
　
　　在澳洲，助产专业教育已发展成为独立的高等专业教育，助产士必须具有本科以上的专业教育背景。在澳洲，产妇的自然分娩率达到67.4%，产妇的会阴侧切率仅为16.1%。而我国助产士高等教育和专业培训十分欠缺，专业教育仅限于中专教育，医学院校中没有助产士的大专、本科专业设置，相当部分助产士是从护士改行，在继续教育中也没有专业深造的可能，只能选择护理专业的课程进行学习。

　　助产士的定义：助产士是在正式助产学校学习或具有同等能力,能独立接生和护理产妇的中级医务人员。

　　主要职责：助产士在妇女妊娠、分娩及产褥期给予妇女必要的支持、照顾和建议。他们通过提供产前，准备生育，计划生育和儿童健康教育，在妇女及其家庭的健康咨询和教育中发挥着重要作用。助产士职责包括负责孕妇的孕检、照料新生儿以及为产妇及其家人提供产后照顾、或如抑郁症等心理健康方面的支持和协助。澳大利亚助产士课程在Australia College of Midwives(ACM)的框架下发展并开设相应课程。学生需要完成课程内规定的教学实践，通常来说不少于半年；如南澳大学就规定学生要完成不少于27周的教学实习，照顾至少30个产妇，参与40个新生儿的接生过程。

　　对学生的要求：该课程要求学生善于解决问题、善解人意、领悟力高，有良好的沟通和领导技能，并喜欢与妇女或者家庭打交道。

　　职业认证：学生只要通过澳大利亚护理和助产委员会注册的要求即可成为注册助产士。（Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council，简称AHPRA）
