　　教师在澳洲是一个非常受尊重的职业。教师的收入稳定，有持续的加薪机会。初级教师在执教的前12年内，如无不良表现，能得到稳幅加薪。初级教师入行时的起薪一般在四万澳元左右。据统计，在未来五年中澳洲的政府小学、中学平均每年约有2400名教师岗位空缺。

 

　　而维多利亚州的教师工资达51184澳元，当属全澳洲教师工资最高标准。从2008年6月开始，维多利亚州的教师工资起薪就已经从$46,127澳元增加到$51,184澳元，教师的最高工资从$65,414澳元增加到$75,500澳元。而在维州，警察工资起薪为48,000澳元，比教师工资低3000澳元，高级警察的工资最高为75,000澳元，与高级教师的工资相当；护士工资起薪为48,860澳元，而有10年工作经验的护士工资为65,000澳元。

　　在最新的SOL移民职业清单中，teacher稳列其中，但是primary teacher和vocational teacher已经被拿掉，仅仅留下early-childhool teacher和secondary teacher。

　　下面我们详细介绍一下维州教师认证体系。

　　首先要明确两个概念，一个是teacher graduates，另一个是all other applicants。

　　Teacher graduates，指的是被维州教育局认证的师范类毕业生，被认证的学校及其师范类课程如下：

　　除去以上认证课程的teacher graduates，都属于all other applicants。

　　分清这两个概念后，要说明的是all other applicants注册维州教师资格时，通常情况下，要求申请者达到学术类雅思4个7。但如果申请人是在澳洲完成了受认可的课程，即免除雅思要求。

　　再看teacher graduates，申请维州注册教师要经过以下几个步骤：

　　1． 填写申请表，递交到教育局。（建议在毕业之前提早开始申请）

　　2． 递交完整成绩单，如果你的学校与教育局签有成绩单互通的协议，你只需在规定期限内递交一份签字的接受表，而不需要递交成绩单。经过4-6周的审核周期，审核结果是在每个月举行的注册资质研讨会上获得通过。通过之后拿到的是Provisional Registration，有效期1年，最长可延至2年，拿到这个临时注册资质，就可以找到全职工作，但还不是真正意义上的教师。

　　3． 在1年的时间内申请者需提供给教育局相关材料，以证明你符合维州注册教师的标准(请见下图)。在申请Full Registration之前一定要满足80天的教师经验，即：at least 80 days teaching experience。
